COVID19 closed our dining room on March 19, and we resolved to takeout and delivery only. We turned to our servers and asked them to lay down their aprons and pick up their car keys! Since then, many of them have learned the area more than they ever knew. Here are some of their discoveries:
- Johnathan: “I realized I was sometimes delivering to the same streets just different houses each time, even right next to each other.”
- Mackenzie: “All of PV is a maze…even more than I originally thought.”
- Colton: “I didn’t know there is a giant Botanical Garden up the street from Gaetano’s. I went after work. It’s really nice!”
- Nate: “Getting more familiar with the South Bay and seeing the appreciation on their faces when receiving the food was special.”
- Monica: “I’d never really been in the Palos Verdes area and delivering food became something to look forward to because I would be able to enjoy the beautiful views and if I was lucky, got to see the peacocks. I also learned how big and caring the Gaetano’s community was. I don’t think there was ever a day that someone would ask me how we’ve been doing. It was heartwarming to know how much the community cares.”
