We had just finished a busy Holiday Season in late 2019, when we decided it was time to redesign the interior. We hired an interior designer to come in and give us their opinion as to how the restaurant should redesign itself and still have that classic charm. We brought new tiles, bricks, paint, booths and chairs to our 28 year old (new) restaurant!
We were all about to start the remodel, when Covid hit. Everything went on hold.
After getting through the initial 8 week shock of being closed and solely relying on takeout, we started the remodel process over again. But this time, we were able to remodel into a Post Covid world. What does that look like? We really don’t know, however two things were growing long before Covid was here: Takeout and Booths.
Takeout has been on the rise for a very long time. Year over year, we’ve seen increases in takeout and with the explosion of Covid takeout, we felt it was time to design a larger area for takeout. We now have a separate takeout host stand and station to store food.
You love booths. You are not the only one. On any given day we will receive at least 25% reservation requests for booths. So, we put more booths in and gave you more privacy.
Even though we are open indoors, we still are only at 50% capacity. This means, only about 7 tables are allowed. Whether you’re dining indoors or outdoors with us, we’d love for you to come inside and take a look. We look forward to serving you at 100%!
